The Keystone College Art Society located in La Plume, PA is hosting a 24 Hour Draw-a-Thon held from 6pm on May 2nd to 6pm on May 3rd in order to raise funds and awareness for a local upcoming gallery, The Gathering Place, located on 304 S State St, Clarks Summit, PA 18411. This page was created as means to reach a broader audience than the attendees at our event and sponsors we have contacted.
The Gathering Place is a new community center that celebrates inclusive partnerships, creativity, education and the arts in Clarks Summit and the Abingtons. The organization is transforming the first floor of the former Clarks Summit firehouse into its new home. This will become the main location for the Abington Area Community Classroom’s popular sessions, and a venue for local artists and community groups to learn, create, and share their talents and knowledge in a welcoming, caring community. The space will include a fine art studio, kitchen, classrooms, and an open area to that can accommodate small events, exhibitions, and theatrical productions. It is a place that embraces the entire community and facilitates an environment filled with a passion for lifelong learning and a strengthened sense of belonging.
All proceeds collected will go directly to The Gathering Place and aid in their business endeavors and renovations in order to maintain a beautiful environment for creative individuals.
