Dr. Corcoran Band Commission

Dr. Gary Corcoran taught, led, advised and inspired so many of us throughout his years at PSC/PSU. With your generous donations, we achieved our goal to commission a piece by Robert Sheldon to honor the impact he's made on our lives, as well as on the music education community.
As former students of his, Erin and I have been inspired by Dr. C and his dedication to his craft. We were fortunate to have him as a teacher in the late 90's (back when it was still called PSC!). We have benefited so much from our relationship with him and are excited to be a part of this project.
This piece will be a level 2.5 to make it accessible for performance by middle and high school bands and it will be ready for purchase in the fall of 2020. The cost of the commission is $2500, and the money will be withdrawn and paid to Mr. Sheldon at the completion of he composition.
Since the composition has been fully funded, all remaining funds raised will be put toward PSU scholarships and/or other commission projects in his name.
We have been in contact with the PSU office of Advancement and will set up a transfer upon the completion of this go fund me project (September 1st). The funds above that of the commission will be withdrawn and deposited into my bank account shortly after the close of this Go fund me. I will then send a check for the same amount to the office of advancement at Plymouth State University so that the scholarships can be set up. The office of advancement will provide a "donation receipt", which I will then post for anyone who wishes to see it-
