Brian and Mary Doyle Family Fund

$60,955 of $175,000 goal

Raised by 504 people in 22 months

This GoFundMe page was created in the spring of 2017 to give Brian Doyle peace of mind, as his illness advanced.  Brian had long blessed us through incandescent stories, poems, and prayers that jolt the spirit alive. Faced with the prospect that he would not be here to support his family, we wanted to help with finances to sustain Mary and their children.

With love and gratitude from Doyle family friends,
Tom Booth, David James Duncan, Laurie Kelley, Melissa Madenski,  Hob Osterlund and Kim Stafford

Oh Brian..... There is no way you can comprehend how many people are praying and rooting and hoping with all the might that you beat out this dreadful disease. So many of us cannot bear that you might leave us. Your words, your stories, your genius, your humilty enrich our lives in ways you can't imagine. Pretty sure your tumor was nothing more than an excess of thoughts that your brain could no longer contain. You just needed some extra storage space for all those words. Your thoughts and words are simply brilliant and such a gift to us all. Thank you. I pray that you have the opportunity to finish your new book on Robert Lewis Stevenson and many more after that. Please live. I don't know how else to say it.
