T21 Friends - Eastbourne Downs's Syndrome Group


Dear friends and family..
Please help us to provide excellent support for our children.
As many of you know, we are a group of parents who are lucky enough to have amazing young children. All of us have a child who has Downs Syndrome (T21).  We currently run a group where the children can play and the parents can get valuable emotional support and advice from each other sharing our ideas and experiences.


Due to growing pressures on local NHS services we are finding it more and more difficult to get consistent professional support for our children in particular Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy.

Our children will continue to achieve and grow with the right support at the right time.
We are raising funds so that we can provide clinics, sessions and workshops to provide important help and support for our children and their parents.

These will include:
-Music and development sessions provided by a special needs teacher including support to learn Makaton signing and reading.
-Speech and language therapy clinics including feeding.
-Physiotherapy sessions.
-Occupational Therapy clinics.

This will benefit all young children with Downs Syndrome who join our group (local to Eastbourne, Seaford areas). 


We need your help to get us started so that we can start providing these services from January 2018.

£240 can provide a specialist teacher to run singing, signing and development sessions at our drop in group for one year.

£600 can provide a specialist paediatric physiotherapist to run a monthly physiotherapy group for one year.


We are in the lucky position that we know excellent local professionals and therapists who can help us and they are keen to work with our children.

Having the right support early on makes such a difference to our children's ability to reach their potential and impacts greatly on their future ambitions. It eases the way for us parents if we know we are getting positive, ambitious support for our children from experienced professionals.
