We are a group of students from the UW who are striving to empower students of color to succeed and make the most of their college education.
This year we started an RSO called DIP (Diversity in Psychology) with the number one goal of uniting and educating college students in psychology on what it means and how to handle being a person of color in a university.
Due to the success that we have garnered from our University and the impact that it has made we want to extend that to High School and transfer Students.
We are hoping to create a conference for these students that will get them energized and excited for higher education. This of course costs money and we wanted to reach out to all those around us to help support us in our endeavors.
The money would pay for renting a space, providing lunch, getting wonderful speakers, and transportation to make us accessible to all those interested.
Any support is appreciated and we are so excited for you all to watch us grow.
