Doughnut Time Staff's Stolen Wages

We are the former employees and management team of Doughnut Time Pty Ltd, and collectively, we have put together this Go Fund Me page, as an attempt to get some of the money owed to us, back through the support of the community and people across Australia. We will evenly distribute the money to all former employees who are owed, as it is our goal to hit a target of $200,000, which is the outstanding amount owing to over 200 Doughnut Time former employees.
On the 4th of March Doughnut Time Pty Ltd abruptly closed half the stores without warning. This left lots of staff unknowingly without jobs. Management and Supervisors were asked to stay on, to try to get the company back up on its feet, however, this was just an excuse to buy more time so an official decision could be made on the future of Doughnut Time. Once the decision had been made to liquidate Doughnut Time, it left more than 200 staff without jobs.
All outstanding wages vanished, totalling over $200,000. They also haven't paid any superannuation to staff for the last 15 months, which would see the total amount owing, rise closer to an amount which some people would be scared to know.
The senior Management at Doughnut Time advised staff not to worry when their pay began running late, leading up to the sudden closure. The company was due for an "investment" that would settle any debts across the brand.
The staff trusted management and continued working long hours to keep the company afloat. Some staff went 7+ weeks without pay, waiting for that light at the end of the tunnel. That light never came.
DT staff were taken advantage of. Their trustworthiness and work ethic were abused and they are left with nothing to show for it.
The FEG gives Australian residents an opportunity to claim outstanding money due to a company going into liquidation. However, Doughnut Time employed more than 60% of internationals, from holiday workers to students, and professional visa holders. This left hundreds of workers with no hope of ever seeing their hard earned money.
The money raised on this page will go a long way in helping former staff members of Doughnut Time, get back on their feet. They deserve retribution for their hard work. No one deserves to go through what they've been put through.
Any contribution is a step forward. The staff of Doughnut Time shouldn't have to suffer due to dishonest, disrespectful and disloyal bad management.
