Dottie's Final Act of Kindness

On Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 9:01 pm, my mom finished her fight with terminal cancer and is now home with her Heavenly Father and all the hosts of angels.
She was trying so hard to be with us until November 1, which is when her life insurance plan would be vested. Unfortunately, God needed her before then so we are doing what we can to make her final celebration one worthy of her vibrant spirit.
Her husband, Bob, was by her side each day in the hospital and has been out of work since April 20 without pay, which will continue through May 14. I know one of my mom's greatest worries would be how he would hold up emotionally and financially through her passing.
I am creating this GoFundMe campaign as my mom's final act of kindness for her husband so that he can say goodbye to his beloved wife of 18 years without financial burden.
In lieu of flowers, you can donate to "Dottie's Final Act of Kindness" campaign. In addition to covering funeral expenses, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Lab Rescue of Greater Richmond. Another portion will be used for a random act of kindness to bless the nurses and doctors of the Henrico Doctors Hospital Oncology Department (Forest) who lovingly cared for my mom in her final weeks.
A Celebration of Life service will be held for my mom on Saturday, May 13 at 2:00 pm at Immanuel Episcopal Church in Old Church, 3263 Old Church Road, Mechanicsville, VA with visitation of family and friends immediately following.
Thank you for being a part of my mom's life, even if only through me and her husband, Bob. She was blessed beyond measure by your friendship, your love, and your kindness. Now she is finally at rest.
