Dominica Hurricane Maria Aid

On September 18, 2017, the island of Dominica was hit directly by Category 5 Hurricane Maria. Although the full extent of the devastation is still unknown, initial reports show that a majority of people have been left without access to clean water, 90% of the homes have been destroyed and people are in aid of medics. Additionally, all cell towers are down on the island and thousands have been unable to contact their loved ones for days.


Many people do not know of this tiny Caribbean island, but it is home to around 73,000 of the most incredibly caring and loving people on this planet. Dominicans do not have a lot- they are simple people. Hurricane Maria, went from a category 2 to a category 5 in a matter of hours, for this reason, when the unexpected hurricane hit, many people were unprepared and had no place to go.The mainstream media will likely not cover this story going forward because of how small this island is compared to the western world, but with tourism and agriculture as the island's main industries, the impact will continue to be felt for many years to come.


We are asking for donations of any size to help jumpstart efforts to rebuild the island. Donations will be used for medical supplies, roofing supplies, giving people access to clean water. All donations and prayers will help.

Our parents, Rudolph and Maroussia, will ensure the donations are distributed to the right hands. My mother, Maroussia, is responsible for withdrawing funds in her name into her own bank account and from there will be responsible for using the funds as stated on the campaign and handling all withdrawals.
