Dobbins HS Culinary Exchange-Italy

The Murrell Dobbins CTE High School's Culinary Arts program prepares students for promising careers in the restaurant and hospitality field. Five of our students have earned the opportunity to participate in an exchange program with a culinary-focused high school in Florence, Italy, where they will take classes side-by-side with Italian students both improving their skills as well as exploring the language, culture, history of Italy, and most importantly, the cuisine! Though we have been granted some subsidies for this exchange, the overall cost per student remains at $1200 per student, which we hope to bring down to a more manageable $300-400 cost.
Each student will be also connected with Summer internships in the culinary industry to earn funds to cover a portion of the overall cost. It’s our hope that no student will be denied based on lack of funding. We are looking for 200 individuals who will donate $10 or 100 to donate $20 to support students who may otherwise not have this opportunity for an experience of a lifetime! Won’t you help?
