Hello Everyone,
My name is Joanne Piva, on the 21st May 2015 My eldest Daughter Breannah took her own life after enduring 9 horrifying years of Bullying be her Peers at School, Up Town, at Work and Online. Breannah was Physically, Verbally & Emotionally traumatised by her Bullies on a daily basis, she would Report most incidents being recorded with her School, QLD Education, Parents of the Bullies and our local Police Enforcement However not one of Breannah’s Bullies were held accountable for the violence they inflicted on my Daughter nor were the Bullies texting her telling her to “Kill Herself or they would do it for her and make sure her body was never found”.
Although Breannah had seen many Councillors over the 9 years she was Bullied, Breannah felt like she had no other option but to take her own life to escape the constant Brutal Bullying she encounter regularly because our Authorities did nothing to stop the Bullies Constantly Beating, Abusing & Threatening her. No Child should ever be subject to any of the abuse my Daughter was put through, our current Anti Bullying Laws need Amending to fit Today’s Society and the Safety of our children.
Breannah was let down by her School, QLD Education, Mental Health & Our Local Police Enforcement, Don’t let this be your child, don’t let these Bullies get away with Taking our Children’s lives. I can’t do anything to bring my baby girl back but I will be darned if I sit here and do nothing in helping to prevent this happening to another child so today I would like to tell you all about a quest I am taking on to raise much needed awareness for Bullying, Depression and Youth Suicide.
On Monday the 20th May 2018 at 5am I will set off on a 200km journey in two days on my Bike leaving from Ayr Nth QLD and arriving in Airlie Beach Nth QLD. I am in the process of having Flyers printed that I will disperse along the way with relevant information regarding Bullying, Depression and Youth Suicide as well as engaging with communities and sharing Breannah’s Story. All relevant contact details & numbers are on the flyer if you or anyone you know is silently suffering from any of the above mentioned. If you know anyone within this area please let them know to come on out and say G’day. Your Support is Overwhelming and So Greatly Appreciated and I can’t Thank You All enough for sharing Do It For Bree and helping raise much needed awareness.
May 21st 2018 marks Three Years since I heard my Babies Voice, since I saw her smile light up the room, heard her quirky snorting giggles, 3 Years since Breannah could be a 16 year old child with Dreams, Hopes & Goals. 3 Years since these Bullies pushed My Daughter over the edge to no return.
