On a rainy Friday at 4pm in the fall of 2001, Eight Ladies & A Beau Tie performed for the first time at the University of Oregon’s Erb Memorial Union. Just three months later the Eight Ladies traded in their Beau Tie for ties of their own to become the University’s premiere all-female a cappella group. Divisi, over the past 15 years, has grown from the roots of these original members, united by a common love of music and friendship.

Coming off of a successful year of competition at the ICCA's in 2016, Divisi is ready to take on the East Coast. We are headed for Boston, MA to attend the Boston Sings A Cappella Festival. This is one event we've dreamed of attending for the last three or four years, and now it's becoming reality. We want to spread our message of women's empowerment to the other side of the Nation, and to gain new friends through our music. To get there, we need your help. This is one battle we cannot fight alone. 

We are reaching out to you all, asking for assistance in funding our trip to Boston. With only a month until we leave, we are finding that we are in a time crunch to buy flights and find housing, along with needing to have money to pay for food while we are there. This is what the money will go towards. Help us spread a message of love. Of power. Of strength. Women are often overlooked, or made out to be overdramatizing everything. We are here to stand together, and prove that we can be open and as vulnerable as we want to be. That's our power and our strength. We are united together through our music and our message. We want to show everyone on the East Coast what women can do when they band together in love and song.
