You can help four women explore advanced data analysis!
As you may know, several of my Statistics students have recently started a Statistics Club. Four of these students want to continue the research they began in my Statistics courses last year. They plan to present their findings at an academic symposium next spring, but to do so, they need to gather data.
Your donation would help cover the costs of a trip to gather data to find out if calories really count at Walt Disney World. The average tourist walks from 6-12 miles each day at Walt Disney World and eats much more than they normally do. These students are getting very close to their fundrasing goals, but are still in need of funding.
Any help you can provide getting us to Walt Disney World would be greatly appreciated!
Most of my students enter my statistics courses terrified of the course material. By the end of each semester, many of these students are exploring how to include data analysis within their major or minor. It’s a huge leap for these students, who were terrified of all math a year ago, to actively pursue opportunities to continue researching statistical methods.
These four young ladies have great potential and I'm reaching out to you for some help funding this research opportunity. We are close to meeting our goals via traditional fundraising methods but we are running out of time. We have until the first week of December to raise the money needed for this trip. Please help them continue to expand their education!
