Meet Noelle Hazel. She appears to be your typical 12 year old tween sassily flipping her hair and taking selfies. But Noelle is special in so many ways. Though she was born with SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy), a disease that robs people of physical strength by affecting the motor nerve cells in the spinal cord, taking away the ability to walk, eat, or even breathe - Noelle can sing like an angel! She defies the limitations of her diagnosis. She has her own YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebfbt5GvZE0 where she follows in the footsteps of her idol Bethany Mota. She is OBSESSED with Disney and sings all of the movie songs like a true Disney Princess. I am blessed to be her aunt and we come from a very musical family. Noelle and I started trading singing videos on Facebook and due to overwhelming support of friends and family, in one day we developed what is now known as the Disney Challenge #DisneyforNoelle! In just 48 hours we have had over 3,000 views of Noelle's video alone. Every day new videos are going up of people singing their fave Disney songs in support of Noelle's DREAM TO GO TO DISNEY WORLD in Orlando, FL with her brother Mikey who is also afflicted with SMA, her older sister Hope and her Mom - my sister Danielle Willoughby. Danielle is a single mom who is raising her kids without limits. They are strong-willed and confident and do not define themselves by their disease.
