Disaster Relief for Tammie Adams

Hi Friends, 

Our good friends Tammie and her husband Dave were inside this RV during the early morning hours of 2/20/17 when high winds blew it over and caused it to roll three times.  They were pinned inside until first responders were able to cut a hole in the roof to get them out.  

Thankfully they made it out alive with only a couple stitches and a broken toes, though this disaster has been devestating to them financially and emotionally.  After working and saving hard for years, Tammie and Dave recently purchased this land and were living in the RV while beginning to build their first home they could call their own.    

That RV on it's side was their only home.  The industrial building that housed their building materials, equipment and other belongings totally blew apart.  It is scattered for hundreds of yards.  They have literally lost most everything they physcially own.

Normally you would think insurance is there to cover these types of things, but that is not the case. There is no homeowner's insurance without a house.  Most all of their belongings are not going to be covered by insurance.

Tammie and Dave initially went to a hotel but that isn't going to be a sustainable long-term solution.   Tammie was able to salvage some clothes from the destruction, but they are going to need major help immediately.   

Tammie is the type of person that puts everyones' needs before her own, asks for seconds when the going gets tough, and always brings huge homecooked meals for unit meetings at work.   

Tammie has worked in social services for nearly two decades now and done so much to give herself to others. Now it is time to give back to her.  

It would be amazing if you would consider a donation to help Tammie and Dave to get back on their feet as soon as possible.  Tammie is not the type of person to ask for favors or depend on others, any amount you are able to offer will be very much appreciated.
