Disaster Relief for Nebraska Animals


There isn’t anyone in the state of Nebraska and surrounding states, my family or my friends that doesn’t know what is going on in Nebraska and the devastation. I can’t seem to wrap my head around how this has affected so many lives and how anyone with livestock may be feeling. As a livestock/pet owner myself, I don’t like to lose one life, and can’t fathom several.
I want to help in areas that are needed and there is an immediate need everywhere in Nebraska, but I have family and friends in Knox, Boyd and Holt County Nebraska.
Therefore, I will be traveling with a pickup and trailer to O’Neill tomorrow, Sunday, March 17, 2019 to take much needed animal supplies, such as milk replacer, dog and cat food. I will be working with proper channels to get those supplies, directly to those that are in an emergency need.
***Update***Because of more flooding and now different areas affected, I am extending my help areas to Dodge, Platte and Cuming Counties. If there are needs in other areas, I will be more than happy to help those areas also, with donations and pet needs!
I am asking my friends and family that if you feel the need to help to please do so. I have already received commitments of donations of just under $1000 and would love to exceed my initial goal. There is need.
For those that don’t know me, that this might get to, I’m not asking you to put money into an account of someone that you don’t know. However, I will tell you, if you feel the need, I promise to post every receipt and picture to assure you that your money went to the correct place.
I also encourage other students on spring break this week at UNL, to make a difference. These people, animals, areas are our future!
