Ronnie James Dio Birthplace Shrine

This fund is to help build a memorial in Portsmouth, NH, the birthplace of rock legend Ronnie James Dio.  Dio was active in the music scene for over 50 years selling almost 50 million albums.  He is considered by many to be one of the most influential musicians in rock and heavy metal.

This memorial will be a bronze statue with a design to be decided on and agreed upon by the artist, city and organizers.  The amount we are looking for is based on estimates provided by artists that have completed simlar size and style statues.  

Any excess or unused funds will be donated to the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund and possibly to fund a scholarship for a student interested in furthering their education in the arts/music.

This fund will be ongoing while the design is being made and is supported by many local, regional and world-wide musicans.
