On Thursday November 16th our world got turned upside-down. My mother selfishly took not only her life, but also the life of my 14-year old brother . In her eyes she thought she was protecting him, but that was not the case.
Kameron was air-lifted to UNC-Chapel Hill where they did everything they could to help him. The doctors determined that it was a fatal gun-shot wound to the head. He was on the ventilator until Saturday when they determined he was brain dead.
Kameron was a lively, energetic, and kind young man who loved to help and loved playing with his dog Flash. He was always wanting to learn how to cook and often asked to help my aunt and grandma to cook and prepare food. He will be missed greatly.
His final gift to this world was the gift of life to 7 organ recipients. His heart, lungs, kidneys, pancreas, and small intestines were donated to help others who needed them.
