Devin's Journey to USA's
Donation protected
Hello everyone!
My name is Devin McNellis and I am competing at the National Physique Committee (NPC) USA Bodybuilding Championships this summer in Las Vegas, NV on July 29th and 30th. Around this time last year, I competed for my first time at the Big Sky Championships in Missoula, MT and my second show was at the Empire Classic in Spokane, WA. At both shows, I placed 1st in my Open Bikini class, which qualified me for a national show. My ultimate goal for USA’s is to place in the top 2 in order to receive an IFBB Pro Card.

Here is a little summary about my journey thus far…
While working as an X-ray technologist in Missoula, I decided that I wanted to further my education. Therefore, last July, my boyfriend and I moved to Pensacola, Florida, where I am full-time student at the Florida Institute of Ultrasound. Throughout my time here, I have found that being in school and clinicals 40 hours per week and training 3 times a day, makes it impossible for me to work and maintain my sanity. Although I am committed to my academics, I am passionate about fitness and athletics. My athletic career began as a five-year-old playing t-ball and continued into college playing fastpitch softball. Once my softball career ended, I never lost my desire to compete which led me to the sport of “bodybuilding”. Whether it is on the field in cleats or on a stage in heels, I am a competitor.

Competing at USA’s is extremely important and exciting because I have the opportunity to win my IFBB Pro Card. Earning a pro card would allow me to expand my fitness career in ways I never thought possible. In addition, I hope to inspire others, through my journey, to pursue their own personal goals. Although there are many positives to this sport, it comes at a price. In order to fully dedicate 110% to my training and to finish school, I am asking for any donations or sponsorships that would allow me to chase this new and uplifting dream.

I will use your donations to help cover the following expenses:
Airfare and hotel: $660
Registration: $300
NPC card: $120
Spray tan (2 days): $150
Competition make-up (2 days): $300
Suit, heels, jewelry, ect: $800
Those of you who know me well understand how much I dislike asking for anything. If it was possible for me to succeed in school, dedicate the necessary amount of time to training, and have a job to afford these expenses on my own, I would highly prefer that to asking for donations.
I have been fortunate to receive such an overwhelming amount of love and support after my first two competitions, for which I am very grateful. I look forward to the national stage and I am excited for what the future holds!
Thank you so very much.

Sincerely,
Devin McNellis
