Help Sponsor A Child and help those in need for our upcoming Destination Donation!
Each year, the Groove Cruise sets sail to a different location throughout the world. As part of this adventure, the Whet Foundation created a program called Destination Donation, where the cruisers donate goods (i.e. clothing, school supplies, games, etc...) that will be distributed at a partner facility in the country & city where the ship docks.
Over the past couple of years, we have supported multiple facilties & shelters in Cozumel & Cabo - Mexico, Ocho Rios - Jamaica, throughout the Bahamas and more!
In addition to the donations, Whet Foundation sets up a day of giving back while the cruise is docked, where the cruisers are able to visit the partner facility and interact with the children and families, play games, cook meals together and more! This has quickly turned into one of the most popular and impactful excursion the cruise has to offer.
We are now looking to expand the program to provide even more benefits to the partner facility in 2017. By supporting our Destination Donation program, we will be able to fill in the void of necessary items the facility requests, that we may not receive in advance from our cruisers.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 towards helping children at our next partner facility and create an exciting experience for them!
For as little as $25, you can assist the needs of at least one child at our next partner facility. While these facilities dont have much at their disposal, the warmth and energy of the children and families is so strong that more often than not, the visiting cruisers gain more from the volunteer opportunity than the facility and their residents.
Please help us continue to grow this program to new heights and help as many children and families as possible.
