É com muito pesar que realizamos este Gofund para ajudar nossa amiga brasileira Eliane daSilva. Ela está passando por um dos momentos mais difíceis e trágicos para uma mãe: a perda de um filho. Na última segunda-feira, 27 de maio, feriado nacional aqui nos Estados Unidos, seu filho mais velho, Joshua Alves da Silva, de apenas 17 anos, estava nadando com alguns amigos no lago Candlewood, no estado de Connecticut quando se afogou.
Amigos tentaram socorrê-lo, mas não o acharam. A Policia e o Corpo de Bombeiros também foram acionados, iniciaram buscas até à noite e também nos dias seguintes, mas sem encontra-lo. O corpo foi achado somente nesta quarta-feira.
Além de Joshua, Eliane tem mais 2 filhos, e neste momento de profunda dor, pedimos a cooperação de todos para ajudá-la financeiramente.
Ressaltamos que qualquer ajuda será bem-vinda. Toda a renda arrecada será para ajudá-la com despesas, incluindo as do funeral.

It is with great regret that we made this GoFundMe to help our Brazilian friend Eliane daSilva. She is going through one of the most difficult and tragic times for a mother: “the loss of a child”. Last Monday, May 27, a national holiday here in the United States (Memorial Day), her oldest son, Joshua Alves da Silva, just 17 years old, was swimming with some friends tried to rescue him but they couldn’t at Candlewood Lake at Danbury- CT, when he drowned.
Friends tried to rescue him, but they did not him. The police and the Fire Department were also called, began searching until the evening and also in the following days, but without good news.
The body was recovered on Wednesday.
In addition to Joshua, Eliane has two more children, and in this time of deep pain, we ask for the cooperation of everyone to help her financially.
We emphasize that any help will be very welcome and appreciate.
All income collected will be to help her with expenses, including funeral expenses.
We ask that for everyone continue to pray for this family, and may God comfort then in this difficult time.
