Hi. My name’s Deep, and I’m from London.
I’ve had a love for sumo wrestling from a very young age, mainly because for me, it’s about a moral code; agility, balance, strength; and then sports entertainment.
Under the guidance of my coach, Steve Pateman of the British Sumo Federation in Derby, I have become the British Novice and English Master’s Sumo Champion, for which I’m grateful.
Having the opportunity to represent my country, faith and family is a real blessing for me that I cherish each time I step into the ring.
I believe I will be the first British Asian Yokozuna by 2020, with success in the US, Europe, and Japan much before that, but do need the necessary sponsorship to do so.
Please share my story and appeal with whoever you know, so we can achieve this goal together.
Finally, I want to share the secret, of how I plan to win every match ahead; it’s the Japanese word ‘Hakkeyoi’, which is used as and when bouts commence, and that literally means ‘Put some spirit into it’, because we all have the same spirit within us; we just need to know it, believe in it, and become one with it.
