Dean Woolums' new Service Dog
Donation protected
Hello - As many of you may know (or will shortly), Dean Woolums was the victim of a terrible hit and run accident on Wednesday, March 8, 2017. While crossing an intersection he was hit by a car. His trusty Service Dog Companion, Daisy, was hit as well. They were left in the middle of the road as the car sped off. Tragically, Daisy did not survive the accident.
Dean suffered a few injuries himself. Having lost a leg in a previous accident about 10 years ago, he depended on Daisy to help him with daily tasks. It isn't an easy life relying on a wheelchair to get around, but Daisy helped to make it easier for him everyday. Everyone in the neighborhood knows Dean. We all have see him out and about daily with Daisy. Daisy was the kind of dog who loved attention.
His neighbors are raising funds to help pay the adoption fees for new companion service dog and to help pay for training the new dog. Any additional money raised will help offset medical bills.
Dean had invested an irreplacible amount of time/money training Daisy. With the money raised - we hope to offset the enormous cost of having a properly trained service dog.
Thanks so much for your assistance!!
