Deaf Wagga man to represent Australia in Hong Kong

Hi!

I would like to introduce myself, my name is Matthew Lloyd. I am 33 years old, father of 2, born and raised in Wagga Wagga, regional NSW. I love to compete in beach volleyball competitions and I am medically diagnosed Deaf with less than 25% hearing in both ears.  

The reason I am writing to you is that I have been recently selected to represent Australia in Beach Volleyball in the Asian Pacific Deaf Games which are held in Hong Kong this November, 2019.

I have represented at state level, twice at the Australian Deaf Games and twice at the National Deaf Beach Volleyball Tournament, as recent as March this year. 

With a proven history of competing in major competitions and a passion to play, I am seeking your assistance to raise funds towards attending the Asian Pacific Deaf Games in Hong Kong. Up until this point, I've had to manage expenses involved myself, such as travelling to host cities including Adelaide, Melbourne and Albury/Wodonga.

The funds would assist me in -

•             Coaching/practice fees

•             Travel for training in major cities
                 (Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne)

•             Accommodation

•             Flights and taxes

•             Tournament fees

Representing the Country would fulfil a lifelong dream!
