Deaf Blind Retreat 2021

Tax deductible
The Ohio Association of the Deaf Blind (OADB) will be holding its statewide DeafBlind Conference and 25th Anniversary event on March 8-10, 2019 at the Doubletree Hilton Hotel in Worthington, Ohio. The theme this year is “Let’s Celebrate OADB’s 25th Anniversary and Make a Difference.” The conference and celebration includes various lectures and sessions pertaining to DeafBlind issues and advocacy, a banquet dinner, many interpreters and support service providers, and a silent auction.

OADB is an IRS 501(c)3 recognized nonprofit. Our statewide nonprofit organization was created for the purpose of improving the quality of life for individuals who are DeafBlind, individuals with combined hearing and vision loss and their surrounding community through advocacy, self-awareness, social and economic opportunities.

One goal that we have for this conference is to gather as many of the American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters and Support Service Providers (SSP) from around the State of Ohio. The SSPs are used to assist as ears and eyes, helping with mobility, and interpreting where and when possible. All of this comes at a huge expense. The event organizers are hoping to cover all of the costs incurred for travel, food, and accommodations for these individuals.
