Look with compassion upon your servant, our brother, Carlos, who we have anointed in your name with this holy oil for the healing of his body and spirit.
Dear brothers and sisters,
On Saturday afternoon Deacon Carlos was involved in a very serious automobile accident. His condition remains critical but he is beginning to show positive signs. Among other things, Deacon Carlos sustained multiple fractures and loss of mobility in his right arm. The bleeding in his brain has stopped. I know that you join me in wanting to know more but I ask that you understand the limits of what I can communicate. What our deacon and his family need most are our prayers and our support. I ask that we storm heaven to beseech God to fully restore him to us.

In addition to our prayers I have offered Mrs. Hernandez and their family our resources in every way that they might be needed. As we become aware of their needs I hope that we can be the ways and the means of their ongoing support. I know that many of you have thoughts and suggestions and I am anxious to hear of them. Immediately, we are setting up a Gofundme account in the name of the parish for the benefit of Deacon Carlos. Unfortunately, we have to exercise caution moving forward, these are the times when scam artists ply their trade.
I will share in this space all that I can of Deacon Carlos’ diagnosis and prognoses. Let us rely upon the mercy of God in response to our prayers and our need for Deacon Carlos’ full recovery.
