Hey Everybody,
So the last 5 years has been a journey for me. I’ve done 3 different cruise ship contracts, (Holland America, Celebrity, and Carnival Cruise-lines) played my grandfather twice in a musical, performed in several other musicals, and sang at hundreds of weddings. I traveled the world, I got to see places I NEVER thought I’d see, met THOUSANDS of people, and made a ton of life long memories that i will cherish the rest of my life.
However with all of this success happening I was also experiencing a lot privately in my life, things that no-one would ever know unless you're family or a really close friend. For those of you that don’t know I loss both of my parents within this 5 year journey as well as a really close high school friend of mine. Grief is something. It’s something nothing or no-one could EVER prepare you for. You feel the hurt everyday no matter how much you smile and pretend you’re ok. But through my grievance process I’ve now come to realize that the only option I have is to push on and to honor my loved ones in the best way I know how; which is music. Music is all I’ve ever known, I can remember listening to my Grandfather Sonny til at a very young age and deciding in that moment that it was something I wanted to pursue. It was just one of those things that came naturally to me.
With all of that said I’ve been doing a lot of writing lately and creating melody’s to creatively express myself when things become too overwhelming for me. And now I’ve come to the realization that it’s time to share it with the world; also I got tired of people asking me where they can find my music haha. I’ve done some recording in the studio, but mainly in the privacy of my home on garage band. Now I feel more inspired than ever to create this project thats long overdue. I guess I never really thought I had much to say until now.
To take things to the next level requires some help. My goal is to put out an EP sometime in 2020, as well as my own professional recordings of my grandfathers music to keep his legacy going:) I need help raising the funds to pay for the recording, mixing, and mastering. oh and i also need to upgrade to logics pro. Your donation gets you a signed copy of the EP as well as updates on how everything is going. ANYTHING helps y’all.
