Hello, my name is Ibrahim Nyanzi. I am a professional player of both
Squash and Badminton, and a coach as well. I was born in Uganda but
now I live in BALTIMORE MD USA. I have traveled the world as aprofessional athlete and won some important tournaments. From 2001 to
2005, I was the No. 1 Ugandan Badminton Player, winning and placing in
many tournaments In 2008,
I was selected as a member of the African 2008 Olympic training team which took place in Beijing. I suffered a knee injury which made me to stop from participating? In Squash, I was the Ugandan National Squash
Champion for THREE times. I have traveled around the world competing in both sports but I have stopped because I don't have enough funds
to travel and participate in tournaments. I had a dream of making it
to the Olympics this year in Brazil to play Badminton, as well as in
various world championships leading up to it, but my dream is fading
away due to lack of funds for travel. Please help me to make my dream
come true to participate in the Olympics and other world
championships. By donating to this fund, you will help me train,
prepare and perform at tournaments.
It takes a lot of money to go to the Olympics, and so I started a
sports and urban wear clothing line called DDIIRO. The profits from
this clothing brand are also used to support my training and
tournaments. DDIIRO is a ugandan word that means "the center of
everything." Based on sports and everyday activities, you have to be
"in the center" to win. In sports, I have always striven to win in all
my Squash and Badminton tournaments, and so I wanted a name that would
remind me of this important concept, therefore DDIIRO. I have two
slogans that goes with the BRAND name DDIIRO one in english which is
"CENTER OF EVERYTHING" and one in Luganda from Uganda, which is
"WAKATI MU KINTU" and means "what is taking place in the center." My
