DCIS Powwow

The Native American Student Alliance Club here at Denver Center for International Studies will be hosting a Powwow (a social gathering sharing culture and dance) on May 11th, 2018 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm.  The powwow will be held in the court yard on DCIS campus.  The Club has been doing fundraising by selling candy, and having concessions throughout the school year.  This Powwow will give the NA student’s an opportunity to share with the school staff, students, and their families as well as the community their culture and dance.  The students have planned specials and activities for those attending to participate in.  They also plan to honor the seniors graduating from DCIS with an honor song.  Donations collected will be used for prizes, any funds not used will be carried over to next year’s powwow as the students want to make this an annual event.  Any contribution you can give to help this event be a successful one will be very much appreciated.
