Donations on behalf of David T Phan

Donation protected
On Friday, October 7th 2016, my brother David Phan passed away in a motorcycle accident while driving to the annual TX/OU game. He was a beloved brother, son, friend, and co-worker.

On behalf of my family and I, we truly believe in preserving David's legacy. David above all loved the Lord. He surrendered his life to Christ and it is because of that good news that we who are still on earth can find peace in the midst of pain and sorrow knowing that he is in Paradise celebrating with our King. As a believer in Christ, David believed in the great commission to bring salvation to those who do not know Christ's love. Because of this, we know that David would've wanted us to perserve his legacy in such a way that his life would bring others to know Christ.

Over the past year my parents have been providing the funding to build a church in Vietnam in a rural part of the country. When my parents visited Vietnam recently, they visited a local church and saw a small building that was overcrowded and the attendees had to sit outside because there was not enough room. My parents knew instantly that they wanted to help remodel the church by extending the building and upgrading the electricity, water, A/C, chairs, and all the neccessities of a church. They wanted the church to be a gathering place of worship and a representation of God's abundance and glory, not a place where there was "no room in the inn" (Luke 2:7).

However, the financial burden that goes into building a church as not been easy and shouldering the entire cost has been hard on my family. But, we believe in a God of abundance and that He will provide the funding to finish building this church. On behalf of my family, we want to invite you all to be a part of our story. Instead of sending us food or flowers, we think the best way to serve us during this time is by donating in David's name to help build this church. We believe that David's passing will build up a house of worship and many people will come to know the Lord.

We truly believe that there is a silverlining in the passing of David's life. Our hope that is through these donations to build this church, many lives and generations will be saved. This will be David's lasting legacy here on earth. Though the Lord may have taken David home early, we believe that many people will come to know the Lord because of the generous donations made on behalf of David and in his name. We know that this is what David would've wanted for us to do and how he would've wanted us to remember him.

We promise that 100% of all the donations will go directly to funding the construction of the church. If you are not able to donate, we ask for prayers for the construction of the church as well as prayers for those who will step foot into those church doors. But most importantly, we ask for prayers that many lives will be saved and Christ's love will shine through this church.

Thank you for all the love and support and may God's name be glorified above all.

Many blessings,
Esther & The Phan Family
