Family and Friends,

On July 14th the world lost a musical legend, “Diamond” Dave Somerville, who was a remarkable  entertainer, friend, father and husband. As original lead singer of The Diamonds, Dave left his mark on the history of rock ‘n’ roll by singing this 1950s vocal group into the history books with 16 Billboard hits and 3 gold records (“Little Darlin’,” “The Stroll” and “Silhouettes”). He also left his mark on all of us with his radiant smile, engaging personality and joyous, loving spirit. Passionate about his family, friends and most of all his music, he was a man that truly celebrated life.

In his final months and since, unepected expenses have mounted up, and yet I don't want any more time to elapse without a fitting celebration of David's life. His death was a huge loss to all who knew and loved him. Our family and friends and David's professional community need to say goodbye to him together and pay tribute to his extraordinary life and talent and the music that meant so much to him.
