Hi! I’m swimming 20 miles to help the American Cancer Society (ACS). Chances are you or a loved one has been affected by cancer. In my case, I lost my mother 15 years ago to a brain tumor. My father has had cancer twice. My grandfather died from complications around it. Close friends, colleagues, extended family. Three dogs. I don't need to go into details. We all know it.

When I saw this swimming challenge, it seemed like a natural fit, and a way to push myself. The ACS challenge started as 5 miles, but I already swim about 3 miles a week. So I decided I would push myself to 5 miles a week for the month of June.

Please consider donating and help me reach my goal of $2500. Maybe $1 a mile? $5 a mile?
