As much as I hate to type these words, David is going into battle with his 3rd round of colorectal cancer. Another mass has been found and the treatment calls for, yet, another round of intensive chemo and radiation. David and Trisha will be preparing for another 5 week stint at UCSF with daily treatments to minimize the growth and activity of this tumor. There is no cure for this, but undergoing daily chemotherapy and radiation therapy will, hopefully, buy more time.
If you don't know how important time is, consider this; after David's last round of intensive therapy he bought enough time to, not only see his son marry, but to officiate the ceremony himself. He was able to watch another son's remarkable college football career take off. He was gifted with a big family Christmas celebration, complete with beautiful family photos. He welcomed a gorgeous new grandson into the world. He witnessed his wife fulfill her dream of opening her own small business. He spent meaningful time with his family and friends. Time is the gift of creating unforgettable memories.
We know these are difficult times for everybody. Many are still out of work or are dealing with significant financial strain. For anybody who is in a position to help David and Trisha with the heavy financial burden that is coming their way, we thank you and appreciate whatever you can offer. If you are not in a position to contribute financially, we completely understand. Please lift David up in prayer and send your love and positivity his way through text, email or messages on the Facebook page. Your love and support has kept David in the fight for the past several years and we are beyond grateful.
