U.S. VETERAN SSG DAVID BOROS
My name is Kate and I'd like to tell you about my friend Staff Sargent David Boros. David is a United States Army Veteran who was recently medically discharged after spending 15 years in the military. David suffered a tragic accident during a routine parachute jump. Due to this accident he suffered a fractured jaw, a dislocated left shoulder, a severe lower back injury, a dislocated right knee and he also dislocated both his right and left hips. During his 15 years in the Army he served three tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan with distinction. Having to take a medical discharge devastated him. He is now dealing with the debilitating aftermath of these severe injuries and suffers PTSD from horrific memories of War. This tragedy caused David to lose his home, car and left him with a multitude of bills. His main concern is being able to support his two children who he describes as his "reason for going on". His daughter Isabella is 6 and Briaden is 9. David is extremely proud of his service and was concerned that it will appear he is looking for a handout when I first mentioned posting his story. I've known David for 21 years and he is one of the best people I know. He is humble, hard working and has a truly good heart. Our U.S. VETERANS deserve our help when they become stuck in a situation that is outside of their control. David wanted nothing more than to stay in the Army. Since he was a teenager he wanted to follow in his older brother Jonathan's footsteps as well as his older brother Stephen's footsteps. Both served in the Army as well. Adding to David's tragedy he recently lost his brother Jonathan suddenly in 2013 and also both parents. David's motivation to persevere through all of this is has me in awe. We owe every U.S. VETERAN our gratitude. I happen to know this VETERAN and I'm asking for donations to help David get back on his feet. Any proceeds will go directly to him so that he can support his children and begin to rebuild his life. Something as small as not having a vehicle can make the difference in someone's life. Please consider donating. Our VETERANS deserve our help. Thank you
