Daughtry Family Fire Recovery Fund

Hello all. My neighbors of ten years, the Daughtry family, lost their home and everything they own to a fire early this morning in southwest Austin. The family has three young daughters (9th grade, 8th grade, and 7th grade). Thankfully everyone was able to escape the fire without any harm, but they lost all of their worldly possessions, including both vehicles. They escaped the burning house with only the clothes on their backs and their trusty dog Stubborn.
The fire broke out aroud 4:40 AM on October 31st when everyone was sleeping. Thankfully a neighbor noticed the flames in the back of the house and was able to alert the Daughtrys who woke up and ran downstairs expecting to see a small fire that could be contained with a fire extinguisher. As soon as they ran downstairs it was evident that the fire was much bigger than anything that they could put out, so they quickly ran out the front door. They were in such a state of panic, and the fire was spreading so quickly, that they did not have time to grab shoes, car keys, cell phones, or anything else. They lost absolutely everything they owned in a matter of minutes. Both of the family's vehicles were also destroyed by the fire.
This family will have to start over completely, and unfortunately they did not have renter's insurance. I am hopeful that the community can band together to help this family get back on their feet. They are wonderful people and any amount that can be donated will be greatly appreciated. Thank you all for considering donating to this worthy cause.
