Hello Everyone!  Someone asked about how Danielle and her family are doing and probed a bit further regarding to their finances. So, I thought I will just put this information out here - with her permission - updating the entire site to reflect the changes in her treatment plan, current health, needs, and practical ways you may choose to help out if you can or are able to.  So, here it is:   We are looking to raise $6,000 for the 2015-16 year. This would give their family help of $500/month for the next 12 months. Previously raised funds have been used wisely and with gratitude. This battle has been long and they are still in the thicket. Thank you for all of the love and support you have already poured out and for any continued support you are able to give!

This is Danielle’s Story - in her own words...

After battling breast cancer in 2012, we found out it had come back in 2014 - shortly after the birth of our perfectly healthy (praise God!) baby boy. It had come back while pregnant. A massive cellulitis infection took over in my right arm and while in the hospital we took tests to see just how far the cancer had spread. On February 18th we learned that the cancer was now considered to be stage 4 -- having spread throughout the upper body to both breasts, the sternum, ribs, spine, pelvic bone as well as the lungs. Treatments began with hormone blockers, bone shots, and lots of prayers. After being on other treatments that were not aggressive enough (i.e. TX clinic), chemotherapy began. Then, in August 2014, we learned it had also spread to the brain so underwent full brain radiation. Shortly after completing this, it became apparent that chemotherapy would be necessary so a port was placed in early 2015 to further attack the cancer below the neck. Due to brain tumors increasing in size, in June of 2015 brain surgery was required to remove a tumor in the right frontal lobe followed by pinpoint radiation (radial surgery) on an additional 4 spots in July. Most recently, fall of 2015, I began a 2nd round of chemo.

Despite all of this, Ryan set the tone for this journey with the first words from his mouth declaring that "This does not change who God is" after learning the diagnosis. I agree whole heartedly that God is worthy of praise not only when circumstances are good, but also when they stink. This is not always easy to do, but truth is not always easy to accept and follow-through can be even harder. But, I am blessed by a wonderful group of supporters, friends, prayer warriors and an amazing husband and family that have strengthened me, encouraged me, and carried me to God in this journey.

Love, Danielle Pint
