Daniel Johnson MV Transportation

On Jan 17, 2017 Daniel Johnson mechanic for MV Public Transportation was retrieving a bus for routine maintenance and returning it to the yard. While in route the bus was unfortunately struck by a car that ran a stop sign. The collision sent the bus into a fence causing it to roll over several times finally coming to rest on its side where it burst into flames.  It is unknown if Daniel had help or pulled   himself from the wreckage, had he not he would have faced his own death by fire. The after math was like a war zone, nothing left but a shell of tangled melted metal and plastic bellowing smoke into the cold night.

Daniel was rushed to hospital and diagnosed to have suffered a broken neck, head trauma, his leg is broken,  major internal injuries, and extensive burns over his entire body.

Daniels has undergone several extensive surgeries attempting to stabilize his broken bones, head trauma, and uncontrolled bleeding before addressing the burns.   He will have to endure multiple surgeries and skin grafts and a long painful rehabilitation process. This traumatic event has and will change Daniels life forever, and his future is uncertain.

Daniels parents, his two daughters, grandson  keep vigil hoping and praying for their beloved Daniel to pull through. The MV Public Transportation family of coworkers and friends stand by and keep the faith that their   Daniel can be restored to his best health possible.

Daniel has been a loyal, hardworking trusted employee with MV Public Transportation since 2014. He gives 110% and is an intrical part of keeping the fleet up and running. He enjoys spending time with family and friends especially his new granddaughter.

It is our desire to be there for Daniels needs now and throughout his recovery process.  It’s not easy trying to keep the bills paid while recovering.   Daniels generous fun loving nature has taught us be mindful of every minute we have as life can be fleeting and changes in the blink of an eye. It is difficult to see your friend suffer, yet one can give back helping in ways that will never be expressed.  Daniels family, friends and coworkers are rallying to support him. Hopefully you can do the same.

Update: It is with deep sorrow Dan has passed away today 1-25-2017 due to his injuries any donations will still be greatly appriciated by his family.
