Spectrum: a collaboration

Spectrum is an artistic collaboration between movement and visual artists which explores the complex reality of those living with mental or physical abnormalities such as manic-depressive bipolar disorder and autism. The piece also dives into the concept of 'spectrum' as it pertains to living as queer, trans, or non-binary. Each artist uses their own experience of existing within the concept of a  spectrum in order to open a dialogue with other artists from varying backgrounds. Spectrum works to bring the beauty of a mind that is never docile, a mind that does not match the status quo, into visual and physical manifestation. Our arbitrary definitions of 'normal' and 'healthy' in regards to one's gender, mental identity , and physical aptitude will be challenged as the abstract dance of thought is brought onto the stage and canvas.
