Damascus Outreach Association, Inc is a 501c3 - Non-Profit Organization
We are located in the beautiful northeastern part of North Carolina (Gates County, NC). We have served over 3,500 seniors and un-wed mothers with our Monthly Food Pantry, and FREE Adult Computer Classes increasing Adult Literacy. We have also successfully served over 1,000 at-risk youth with our Afterschool STEM / Tutoring Literacy Programs (Reading and Math ) here in our rural community for the last 10 years.
Our 75 % student improvement success rate shows our hard work and commitment towards helping these at-risk students succeed in their school work! Damascus ongoing mission is to help prepare students to become better students in the 21st century by providing them with quality supplemental educational programs, of which they are in desperate need of like: after-school tutoring, STEM, homework assistance, character education, hot meals, summer camps, transportation, science clubs, and more.
