Dallas for Harvey
PLEASE READ THE UPDATES FOR ALL THE INFORMATION ON HOW YOUR DOLLARS HAVE BEEN PUT TO WORK!
Last August we took over $7000 worth of supplies to the victims of the flooding in Baton Rouge.
This year we're staying in Texas.
The flooding from Hurricane Harvey in Houston and surrounding areas is ongoing and the needs will be great and last for months.
One thing we learned last year was that gift cards and cash were some of the best things we delivered.
There are challenges in warehousing and delivering donations so the fastest way to help is to donate cash.
I'll cover the funds as you donate and send it right away.
We'll also be taking a trailer of supplies if you prefer (more on that as needs are identified) but if you'd like to donate cash, we'll use it to buy gift cards and supplies.
EDIT- GoFundMe is doing their part to ensure that scams surrounding funding campaigns are stopped immediately.
I've been emailing back and forth with them all day about verifying this campaign. I don't know what else I can do to satisfy the requirements except to say the following:
Please note that funds raised here will be released directly to me, Karen McCrocklin and I will use them in whatever way I determine will have the greatest impact. If you do not trust that I will do so, please do not donate to this fund. END EDIT
If you want to be sure that your donations go directly to those in need, join us and be sure to sign up for updates on this campaign.

This photo was taken in Houston on Wednesday August 30th. Your funds helped make this happen
You've been supporting our friends at Texas Local Disaster Recovery Squad since day 1 of this campaign.
Together we have done so much to help those in need, but there is still more work to do.
Keep sharing, and THANK YOU!
We're headed back down on Friday with a huge crew of kind volunteers from DFW to get dirty and help people, one-on-one.
We'll also be continuing to distribute much-needed items everywhere we go.
Lots more on my Facebook page Karen L McCrocklin.
Thank you for your support. A million, jillion times over. :)
Your donations have done so much, yet there is more work to do.
Please continue to share and donate. You are creating positive change and uplifting those who are facing a long road to recovery.
As always, THANK YOU.
We've been referring to them using every superlative we've got and they deserve.
Having partners that put your money into the hands of those in need has made this all work.
Together we've rocked over 20k in supplies and donated goods and we're not even close to being finished. Thanks to Houston LDRS for their work from day 1, through right now and beyond.
We're watching the development of Hurricane Irma, along with the rest of the world and sending every bit of hopeful energy we can.
Florida friends, know that if disaster strikes you, we'll be there just as you have been for us.
That's a promise.
