Hi Family and Friends,
We hope all is well. Thanks for stopping by the “Daffina Journey’s to Essence” fundraising site! We have always had a goal to display our work at the Essence Festival in New Orleans, LA. Our company has been selected as an Arts and Style Marketplace Vendor for the 2017 Essence Festival, and we intend to participate as as a vendor at the festival this year. However, we need your help!
To provide background, Daffina, LLC is a family-owned and operated company founded in 2013. The company has most recently established a footprint in the African-inspired industry.
In Swahili, Daffina means high worth. It is our goal to develop quality statement pieces that will enhance our customers’ homes and unique pieces to reflect their style. We take pride in sharing our motherland and the beauty of our products speaks to that. Daffina is well known for our chic and unique travel bags, accessories and home décor products made of Ankara (Dutch Wax Print made in Africa). Images of our products are below.
We are requesting your support as we forge ahead to prepare for the upcoming festival. Your contributions will assist with the following:
· Booth-related expenses (associated fees and décor) for the four-day event
· Securing materials for production to create inventory over the next three months
· Traveling expenses and transporting goods to New Orleans, LA
Recognized as one of the country's largest live events, last year's Essence Festival attracted more than 450,000 attendees to New Orleans Fourth of July weekend for its annual cultural celebration. Your contributions will enable our team to interact with attendees and promote Daffina on a larger scale.
A portion of the sales will be donated to Camp Story, a non-profit organization, which aims to strengthen the wings of young storytellers socially, emotionally, and artistically specifically low income and marginalized youth.
Our goal is to raise $3,000 by June 1, 2017. Please consider making a donation and supporting Daffina.
