Edgar The Pug

Edgar is our 2yr old Pug. He has recently lost sight in his left eye because of a territorial spat with another dog. He was bitten on his face and apparently the other dog's tooth caught his eye and ripped into his cornea. He now has a ruptured ulcer and prolapsed iris and has been seen by a vet who says that his eye will need to be removed soon. For now, we are giving him antibiotics to help prevent infection until we can get him the help he needs. Edgar is not just a dog. He's our friend. Edgar is a sweet and loving puppy who runs circles around the house at top speed when we come home, patrols the house barking at walls to protect us from danger when he knows dinner is on the stove to prove he is brave and deserving of a portion of his own ......and gives high fives for food. He was a gift to my daughter from a family member on her 15th birthday. To lose Edgar would be like losing a close friend to our family. We are a working class family and and this time do not have the immediate funds on hand for this situation.
