Wesley Hoke was in a motorcyle accident on 8-13-2014. A car pulled out in front of him while he was on his panhead going 30-40mph. He has suffered multiple serious injuries. He will recover as time goes but his family will need some help. Wesley or Candra would never ask for any help but they deserve it. Please send what you can anything helps.

He still has a long road to recovery, but I'm happy he can be home with Danzig and I to get him back to normal. He is having to re-learn walking, going up steps, stepping over things, spacing out his feet, etc but he does better each day. He does great with speech but sometimes struggles to remember the right word to use to describe something. Also he needs everyone to be direct with him because he doesn't 100% pick up on sarcasm or beating around the bush. I'm learning a lot of activities here to do with him at home so I can continue getting him back to his old self. So far the therapist are pleased with how I already do things to help him help himself instead of doing everything for him. He still has to wear the neck brace for up to 12 weeks, but it all depends on how quickly he heals. We are still waiting on the eye doc to come tomorrow, however everyone has said his vision will fix itself. Everything is continuing in a positive direction so thank you all for your encouraging words. Thank you all for your donations to the gofundme account and for buying the deathscience tee shirts! Wesley gets paid a percentage during his leave from work, but I do not get paid so all of the donations allow me to stay with him and get him through his recovery. Thank you all for that!! It means so much!

Wesley is out of icu and in his own room. He was able to beat the pneumonia and get the breathing tube out. He is responding well after about 30 mins of being up straight. At first he is in a fog, very confused and ready to get up and walk which is very dangerous right now on his own. He is doing well with physical therapy but not stable enough to walk on his own because he is wobbly. This is partially due to medication and to head injury. They plan on putting him in the brain injury rehab to help him get use to doing daily functions again. It's hours of intense training unlike the 30 mins he gets now every other day. He doesn't remember the accident, but he is remembering why he is in the hospital, the month, the day, the year, and other things I've quizzed him on. He is progressing well but he still has a very long road ahead for him and I won't be leaving his side. Thank each and everyone of you for your donations. It will put so much ease on Wesley's mind once he understands it all and it will help me be able to be with him everyday as he recovers. We will forever be in debited to what everyone has done for us. Thank you so very much!!
