down payment for wellness retreat

My name is K Kay Moody. I am an Emergency Medicine doc with 5 children. My first carreer was teaching children ballet, tap, jazz and owning a ballet school. I grew up on a farm (also 5 kids). At age 38, I went back to med school with 3 teenage sons. Before med school I dreamed about, and journaled about a WELLNESS CLINIC/ RETREAT.
After med school, I took the standard road of residency training. As a working EM Doc, I find the best way to relieve stress and to BE WELL is to be outside with nature sounds, especially the sound of a babbling brook.
The money that I raise here will be used as a down payment for a Wellness Retreat where I intend to turn the ship on how healthcare is delivered. I hope to open more around the country for all to enjoy, but this will be the first. This first place will provide a place where physicians, who are frustrated with the current state of healthcare, can come together to first heal themselves, then discuss ways to improve healthcare for their local communities.
This means so much to so many because healthcare is in crisis. We need a re-design from the inside out. We are all connected. I am only one person but if I can bring together creative minds in an outdoor environment and have educational conferences (CME) with physicians from around the country, maybe we can join our voices and make a difference and find a way to deliver help our patients to have true WELLNESS.
