My name is Abigail Callery. I was born with a congenital pre-cancerous skin condition (neuro-cutaneous melanocytosis) and was placed in the care of my grandparents because my parents could not care for me. When I moved to Pittsburgh for medical care I lost my health insurance from the State of Maine. Pennsylvania did not help out right away and my family  had to pay money they do not have for my care. Now my family has no money to pay normal bills like rent, utilities and sometimes, even groceries. My grandpa has a good job and works hard but we need some help to get out of debt because of my health care.

See my "tummy"? Underneath my skin is a medical device the surgeons put in to stretch my skin and make enough extra skin for my plastic surgery. It worked beautifully!
