Champions for Charlie

4-year-old Charlie Rowe was diagnosed with a rare pediatric cancer called Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma (ARMS) in April 2014. He has reached the end of his original treatment plan which included 56 weeks of intense chemotherapy and 28 rounds of radiation to his lung, abdomen, and ankle.

Charlie and his family have fought bravely for 18 months. It is with great sadness that we share Charlie's cancer has metastasized to his brain.  He is resting comfortably at home with his family and hospice by his side.

Charlie's Make-A-Wish was to go to Disney to meet Mickey and "sleep in his castle." Because his doctors have advised against traveling, Make-A-Wish will instead be bringing "Christmas with Mickey" to his home so that he can experience the holidays early with his family. To that end, we are organizing activities for Charlie to also experience Halloween and Thanksgiving this week at home.

Jon Diaz from www.anythingcanbeproject.com is coming to make a wish come true for Charlie. We are raising money to organize this immediately. Any additional funds raised will be used to help the Rowe family celebrate and honor Charlie's life when they travel to Walt Disney World and fulfill Charlie's dream of meeting the characters and spending a magical night in "Mickey's castle."

Thank you for your prayers, your compassion and your unwavering support.
