Hi everyone! I'm a puppy and I've had a rough life so far. I'm about 5 months old and I was found on Wednesday, January 13th, 2016 on the banks of the Upatoi Creek near the McBride's Bridge training area in Ft. Benning, GA. I'd been howling all night in below freezing temperatures because I couldn't walk. This was because my brother and I were found out in the woods by a nice man who was taking us to the vet and I was so excited, I jumped out of his truck. I ended up breaking my back right leg in 4 places. I was in a lot of pain, but I am very sweet and just want to be snuggled. A class of Army officer candidates took care of me, and one of their instructors, CPT Carrie Christian has decided to give me a forever home. I needed surgery immediately, but Dr. Wayne Waguespack, DVM, of Southeastern Veterinary Surgery Center was able to fit me in and take care of me. My surgery is January 15th and I'm so excited to start being able to walk and play again. The hard part is that surgery is expensive, including anesthesia, hospital stay, medication, blood work, neutering, microchipping, and more. My new mom would really appreciate it if you could help cover the $2400 for surgical costs. Also, help her come up with a name for me! Lots of love, Upatoi Rescue Puppy
