Cynthia's Bucket List

Donation protected

This GoFundMe page was created to benefit my wonderful daughter.

Cynthia Perez is a young 14 year old full of life. Her apetite for adventure is larger then most her age. Unfortunately, the adventures she has endured in her short life have been anything but exciting.

On Oct 2011, Cynthia, 9,  was diagnosed with mixed germ cell tumor of the ovary, stage 3.  The news was very devastating for the whole family. After numerous years of treatment including chemotherapies, surgeries, and a bone marrow transplant.

Cynthia's succesfully had  gone into remission for 2 years when unfortunately, she begain a downfall on her health with uncontrollable nose bleeds, brusing, as well as bone and joint pain.

On March 2017 during a visit to her oncologist, she was diagnosed with T-Acute Myloid Luekemia Cancer caused by the aggresive chemotheraphy treatments "Etopiside" used during bone marrow transplant.

After being admited and treated with Chemotheraphy at Bronson Children's Hospital, [Kalamazoo, MI] she was tranfered to the University Of Michigan's Mott's Childrens Hospital [Ann Arbor, MI] diagnosed with Fanconi Syndrome, a rare kidney disorder where kidneys are permanetly damaged. This disorder discualified her for being eligible for a bone marrow transplant because of the weak stage of her health and the presence of leukemia in the marrow.

After a  month stay at U of M's Mott's children's,  doctors deremined that all their efforts have been exhausted  and that it was best for Cynthia to find a hospital close to home to care for her in her end of life comfort. After a meeting with doctors from Helen DeVos Childrens Hospital, [Grand Rapids, MI] a experimental treatment was suggested based on Cynthia's conditions. A type of low dosage Chemotheraphy was suggested that was being used by another pacient with successful results. After treatment for 3 months and unknown infections where she ended up being admitted 3 times her doctor said he had to stop chemotherapy beacause all they were doing was shortening her life alot faster than the leukemia would ever do.

Today we are asking for help with certain medicines and now hospice to keep Cynthia comfortable as she transitions to her last days. we are looking for help also to plan a trip to see the beach in Florida one last time as she loves the sand and sunbathing and the relaxing sounds of the ocean.

We dont have too much time as the doctors said it coud be months or even days... Please help to make my beautiful princess happy in this time of need.  Every penny counts.

Thank you so much we greatly appreciate it including Cynthia.
