For fans who can't make it to the arena, live game streams play a critical role in how we watch hockey and support our team from afar. Free streams also increase accessibility for new fans and exposure for media coverage.
As reported by the Ice Garden, CWHL teams have been sponsoring their own streaming costs this year, outside of what the league’s set streaming schedule is. With higher costs to the increased quality of streaming the league offers, teams have found lower priced options to be sure fans can still watch the games. Teams will be looking to do the same for this weekends playoff games.
Join fellow fans in contributing to this campaign to pitch in on funding the cost of the streams for the semi-finals playoff series games between Markham Thunder at Calgary Inferno and Toronto Furies at Les Canadiennes Montreal.
What the funds will go towards:
- Streaming services for 4 semi-final playoff games
- Play by play experts for 4 semi-final playoff games
- Color commentators for 4 semi-final playoff games
