Getting to Globals!

The Destination Imagination program is a fun, hands-on system of learning that fosters students’ creativity, courage and curiosity through open-ended academic Challenges in the fields of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), fine arts and service learning. Participants learn patience, flexibility, persistence, ethics, respect for others and their ideas, and the collaborative problem solving process. Teams may showcase their solutions at a tournament. Our students are part of the Waterford Creativity DI Team out of Pierce Middle school and have worked very hard together on their challenges at both the Regional and State tournaments, earning their spot to compete as Global Finalists in Knoxville Tennessee this May with thousands of other teams from all over the world. This page was created to help them raise money to offset some of the Tournament and lodging costs associated with the amazing opportunity that lies before them. Our goal is to raise enough to cover the kids campus lodging and Tournament fees. Any bit helps and is appreciated beyond words. Thank you for thinking outside of the box!
