Cultural literacy for children with technology

Marta Eberle 20 years ago founded her non-profit organization Navegamundo to help bring cultural literacy to children in places without technology or tools to keep up with the world.  Her desire then and now is to design interesting learning applications or programs by smart phone or tablets and also by radio transmission to those with no connection otherwise.  She is raising this money in a very difficult time in Argentina where the peso has devalued 40% in the last 6 months and resources are scarce.  She has development companies contributing art design, storyline creation and implementation for smart phones but she needs to pay the developers for the work for the pilot she is doing approximating $18,000 US.  This effort will launch the ability to then show the pilot program to corporations for continued participation and donations on a larger scale to reach millions of children all over the world.

Marta´s project is part of her work and life purpose: to establish the culture of peace - via cultural literacy - through the use of Information and Communication Technologies - ICT and other means.
This type of literacy is intended to contribute to the development of cultural intelligence and, thus, prepare them to interact in a globalized world.
Cultural intelligence is being alert to harmonize with cultures different from ours. Hence the importance of cultural literacy in a hyperconnected world.

This is a great cause and is already making a big difference.  This will allow the reach and scope of the effort to touch hundreds of thousands of more children.

The resources captured through the platform will be invested in the creation and production of the first adventure application and cultural literacy game for children - APP Navegamundo.
